Dear Witchprenuer, I love a good story. 

When my kids were young, I took storytelling classes and did a couple of paid gigs as a storyteller. 

It was so amazing to be able to draw an audience into the world I was creating for them and to feel their energetic response.

So, when I discovered podcasting, I was hooked.

Podcasting was an opportunity to tell, not just my story but the stories of other amazing women. To share insights, wisdom and the inspiration through our journeys of entrepreneurship. 

It was a long time ago, when women’s voices were only 17% of all podcasters. Many of those women were criticized, not for their content or knowledge, but for the sound of their voices. The amount of “vocal fry” or the range of their voice.

The message was clear, woman’s voices had no place in the world. 

And with that message ringing in my ears, I jumped in and started my first podcast, defying the patriarchal viewpoint and bringing more women into the world of podcasting.

The benefits to my business were astronomical:

• I learned new systems, processes and ideas from those I interviewed;
• I gained new clients as my guests experienced my magic, and wanted more of it for themselves;
• My magic spread around the world and we now have listeners from all over; and
• Listeners reached out to me to become clients. 

Recently a few clients have expressed interest in starting their own podcasts. We, women, are up to 29% of podcast hosts, so we still have a way to go. 

I’ve decided to open the doors to a podcasting Sistermind in June.
