Last week I shared a message from the Goddess Persephone.
My husband read my message and gently let me know that I didn’t have the “official” myth quite right, and he even sent a reference.
Yet, there is a deeper truth…
The stories and myths our culture repeats, over and over, become invisible spells.
They weave themselves into our psyche and shape what we believe is possible. They quietly limit our success, our leadership, our money, and our sense of what we deserve.
They become the societal money codes that permeate the air around our own energy bubbles.
Take Persephone.
She is painted as the innocent maiden – kidnapped while picking flowers, raped, powerless.
Her mother, Demeter, is portrayed as hysterical and unable to handle her emotions, fails in her search for her daughter, causes the earth itself to suffer as the trees lose their leaves, food disappears and flowers die. Another goddess, Hekate helps with the search for Persephone using all the power at her disposal, yet this too is inadequate.
The story resolves only when Zeus, a man, steps in to take control.
Take Eve.
A naturally curious woman seeking wisdom is blamed for the downfall of humanity because she dared eat from the tree of knowledge. The message is clearly that our desire to learn brings suffering.
Take Mary Magdalene.
Still misrepresented as a repentant prostitute… despite historical evidence, and the church itself, proving otherwise. Yet the myth continues shaping how society sees women’s purity, authority, and worth.
And don’t even get me started with the original Disney princesses.
Women waiting passively to be chosen, saved, validated by a prince.
These stories live in the shadows of our collective unconscious, whispering:
- Women have no authority of their own
- Women’s emotions create suffering
- Women’s abilities are second – rate;
- Women’s curiosity must be punished;
- Women are inherently bad and must repent; and
- Women must wait to be chosen or rescued.
But none of this is the truth. It is simply the spell we’ve been living under.
And the truth is this…
Women who embody their Divine Feminine essence are not powerless or incapable. They are powerful leaders who guide lost souls back to themselves. They carry ancient wisdom, intuitive knowing, and the ability to see beyond what is visible.
Women’s emotions are a superpower. They are not weaknesses; they are guidance systems to:
- show us the next right step;
- lead us toward our divine soul mission; and
- reveal the places that require healing in ourselves and in others.
Women connected to Source and their own inner wisdom can create solutions the world has never seen. This is feminine magic: ideas born from intuition, sensation, and soul.
Curiosity becomes a sacred tool for creation, opening portals of possibility and birthing entirely new realities.
And perhaps most important:
The world needs wise women to speak now.
To rise.
To offer the messages of love, healing, and possibility that the Divine Feminine is whispering through them.
Here is the truth patriarchy most fears:
Women rise when we gather in community.
It is in circles, in sisterhood, in shared ritual that we unravel these inherited spells.
We remember who we truly are.
We amplify each other’s magic, courage, and sovereignty.
We rewrite the codes.
We reclaim our authority, our abundance, our leadership.
No woman was ever meant to break these spells alone.
We do this together.
