This weekend we went for a hike in the wilderness behind our home.
Our normally convenient path to the trail was blocked by a massive fallen tree in various stages of removal by the forest service.
Then, further along, a quarter mile of the trail itself became pitted with holes among a forest of tiny blue flags. At first, we thought the recent rains had really done a number on the trail.
Then I noticed… each hole had a tiny plant growing out of it…. On purpose.
It appears that the forest service is reclaiming our trail as wilderness.
When we finally got to the top of the hill, we saw our trail blocked off and a new trail above it.
We will have to spend our next hike discovering a new trail that takes us out there and back home.
This is such a powerful metaphor for our journey as Witchpreneurs.
We start our business… and for a while, the path feels smooth.
Then suddenly… it’s a wilderness full of obstacles.
Things slow down. Clients don’t come as easily. Money stops flowing the way it once did.
And we think… What am I doing wrong? How can I find a new path forward?
