I just saw a video where a brand new, on-the-scene politician was very seriously warning that Monterey is being taken over by witches. He seemed … alarmed.
Especially as he spoke about the need to strengthen patriarchal systems.
And I just had to laugh. Because…
Y’all… I live 15 minutes from downtown Monterey.
And I can tell you, the energy here is undeniable. The channels of the Earth are strong.
Mama Earth… Gaia… she is alive and speaking.
You can feel her as you walk the trails between the cypress trees… as the ocean air moves through you… as the wild lupin bloom unapologetically in open fields.
There is a remembering that happens here.
A softening. An opening. A coming home to something ancient and true.
And maybe…
Just maybe…
That’s what he’s actually feeling?
Not something to fear. But something awakening. Because when women reconnect to Earth… to their bodies… to their magic… they stop asking for permission.
