Grammy Camp 2026 is officially over.
One week. Four grandkids. Approximately ten thousand cheeseburgers and a pan of Godzilla – green lasagna. More laughter and exhaustion than I can measure.

I lost it.
My eight-year-old grandson turned to look at me, patient as a little professor. “Grammy, you don’t understand. He only said that because she demanded he move on.”
“Exactly,” I said. “That’s exactly why it bothered me.”
He blinked. Confused.
So we talked.
I told him that a man with that same certainty, that same authority and confidence, would never be called demanding. He’d be called a leader. A visionary. Someone who knows what he wants.
