There is a shift in the air that’s calling for the next evolution… again.
There was a time in my business where the learning curve was long, but the shifts were gradual. With all that is happening in both the seen and unseen worlds, the shifts and the learnings are happening faster. The call for us to drop away our polite, societal masks’ our outdated, unconscious ancestral programing; and to heal our witch wounds has turned a whisper into a shout.
The invitation to BE magic souls walking in human bodies hums with greater intensity, causing my whole body to vibrate.
Witch, it’s time.

I’ve been thinking about magic a lot. It’s not as simple as twitching your nose or thinking good thoughts.
Real magic requires a raw, real-life practice of being all that we are, including all the messy, emotional, silly, aspects of life.
Being happy is the first key ingredient to manifesting magic.
Studies, lots and lots of studies, have shown that the happier people are the more money they make, the longer they live and the healthier they are.
And to be happy is to know sadness, not to suppress it. But to allow it flow through you when it arrives. When I was grieving my dad, I had moments of intense sadness. I would sob for a moment or two. (Once in line for pirates at Disneyland of all places!) I allowed the emotions to flow and they would pass. I would go back to finding the joy.
The same is true for anger and fear and pissyness. Feel it and it passes. Lock it down and put on a pretty smile … it festers.
There is a reason that women have been told their whole lives not to be angry. Not to be sad. Not to be bitchy. Because then we spend our energy on fighting to keep our emotions hidden, rather than creating magic and growing our life-giving, soul-fueled, amazingly abundant work.
Hmmm…. Seems so simple when I write it.
And I know it’s anything but. We have spent years being conditioned to NOT be powerful. Often, in the retreats I run, we find ourselves doing rage work to release lifetimes of old rules. The Akashic Record Keepers are on hand to rewrite the codes that tell us to be nice, be polite, don’t brag, don’t BE too much. When the retreat work is done, there is a new lightness that we bring into the world, our work, our magic.
We feel the full range of happy. Sometimes with giggles and silliness. Sometimes with deep, slow peace. Sometimes with awe that takes your breath away.
The colors of happy weave together and we say, “What shall we create now, with all this joy? What do we desire?”
Which brings me to the second key, the second forbidden magic that all women carry:
Our Desires.
We have been taught to distrust our desires. That wanting too much makes us selfish and greedy. We’ve been told to “Just be grateful” … “Don’t ask for too much.”
So, we learn to compress our desires into something reasonable, something that will make everyone around us comfortable. And we hold our true desires as a closely guarded secret.
The magic comes when we recognize desire as one of the ways our Source speaks to us.
Our desire creates the spark that pulls us toward expansion, creativity, intimacy, wealth, adventure, and deeper service. It shows us where life wants to move through us next.
The desire for more money is asking you to create greater impact, experience more freedom, vibrate with more joy or generously support the people and causes you love.
The desire to be seen is your soul asking you to stop hiding the medicine you came here to share. To be the healer, witch, priestess that steps up to heal the pain your tribe is feeling.
The desire for pleasure is your body reminding you that this human life was never meant to be endured. It was meant to be celebrated, experienced fully, and really lived!
Of course, it takes courage to admit what we really want. Then, it becomes impossible to pretend we are satisfied with what is, that we are not a part of the shifts that are happing. It becomes impossible to hold the status quo.
Desire asks us to be the woman who can receive what she has called forward.
Then there is the third key.
Perhaps the one that makes all the others possible:
Community.
For generations, women have been separated from one another.
We were taught to compare, compete, gossip, judge, and distrust. We learned that another woman’s beauty, power, money, or success somehow diminished our own.
Many of us carry memories, from this lifetime or another, of being betrayed by the women around us. The witch wound carries both the terror of being persecuted and the shame of being the accuser. We all carry this.
We learned to do it alone. We convinced ourselves that needing support was weakness. We built businesses while quietly carrying far more than one woman was ever meant to hold.
But magic has always grown inside the circle.
Around the fire. In kitchens, gardens, temples, forests, and gathering places where women shared stories, tended wounds, dreamed dreams, birthed babies and businesses and reminded one another who they truly were.
Community gives our magic somewhere to land.
There is something that happens when a woman speaks her desire aloud and another woman says, “Yes. I see that for you.”
This does not mean every community is safe or sacred. Discernment matters. The women we choose to gather with matter. The right community does not ask you to dim your light so everyone feels comfortable.
The right community celebrates your power, honors your becoming, and reminds you that your abundance benefits us all.
Joy.
Desire.
Community.
These are not frivolous things. They are powerful ingredients in the magic we are being called to create now.
As the world shifts, women are being asked to feel more honestly, desire more boldly, and gather more intentionally.
We are being invited to bring all of ourselves.
The messy parts. The brilliant parts. The witchy, wise, wildly creative parts.
And from that place, we ask together:
What kind of world are we ready to create now?
