In this episode, Kathleen Joan and I explore Sophia, the Divine Feminine embodiment of wisdom.

Sophia is not simply knowledge. She is the deep knowing that helps us remember who we are, what we are called to do, and how we are meant to move through the world. Together, we explore Sophia as the wisdom that lives within the body, heart, mind, and soul. She invites us to become quiet enough to hear what is already there, curious enough to notice what keeps appearing, and brave enough to speak the truth we know.

Sophia reminds us that wisdom is not something we have to earn. It is something we remember.

My co-host for this series is Kathleen Joan, a priestess of Brigid devoted to the resurrection of the Divine Feminine in today’s world, especially for women with Christian ancestry.

Kathleen spent more than 15 years in ministry and holds a dual Master’s degree in theology and ministry. Today, she brings that deep understanding of the Christian tradition into her work helping women reclaim the wild, sacred Feminine through Goddess teachings, channeling, energy healing, circles, and retreats.

Episode Highlights

00:27 — Introducing Sophia, the Wisdom Goddess

Sophia is the divine feminine presence who helps women reclaim sacred knowing and find the courage to speak their truth. Her presence invites a deeper exploration of wisdom beyond traditional religious structures.

02:51 — Experiencing Sophia as an Inner Presence

Sophia is the energy that lives within the body rather than feeling external. This inner connection reveals wisdom as something embodied, intuitive, and already present.

04:49 — Sophia’s Hidden Place in the Bible

Sophia appears in biblical books such as Proverbs and Wisdom, although many people from Christian backgrounds were never taught about her. Her presence offers an opportunity to reclaim the feminine voice within religious tradition.

06:13 — Sophia as the Creative Wisdom of the Divine

Sophia is the creative agency through which the divine shapes and orders the cosmos. She represents the wisdom that lives within creation and connects all beings to the sacred.

07:12 — The Qualities of Divine Wisdom

Wisdom is described as intelligent, holy, clear, loving, powerful, peaceful, and all-seeing. Sophia is both a reflection of divine light and an active presence moving through the world.

08:48 — The Divine Spark Within Everyone

A myth about Sophia breaking into millions of pieces highlights the idea that every person carries a part of the divine within. Wisdom is not something that must be earned; it is something that can be remembered and reconnected with.

12:26 — Sophia’s Message About Listening

Sophia calls people to become quiet enough to hear the wisdom constantly speaking through the world, nature, the body, and the cosmos. She encourages a return to justice, care, right relationship, and a deeper sense of connection.

19:36 — Returning to Inner Wisdom

Sophia teaches that humanity does not need to become something entirely different; it needs to remember what it already is. By reconnecting with the inner divine presence, people can recover their clarity, purpose, compassion, and inner guidance.
